The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees.
* An increase of the State University Fee is pending a final decision by the Board of Trustees. Fees are subject to change without advance notice by the Trustees of the California State University System.

Some programs may require additional fees.
Nonresident tuition is $226 per unit and $113 per 1/2 unit. Nonresident tuition is charged in addition to fees listed above for residents and applies to all nonresidents of California including international (visa) students.
WICHE WUE (Western University Exchange Program) student participants pay 150% of the SUF fee and do not pay Non-resident fees.
It is the student’s responsibility to pay their registration fees by the due date. All students are responsible for paying their portion of their fees by their due date; this includes Financial Aid recipients and Housing students.
Please do not wait for a billing statement as CSUSB does NOT mail billing statements. You can access your fee due date through MY COYOTE SELF SERVICE. Students who do not pay all fees by the designated deadline MAY be administratively dropped from their courses and a $25 administrative fee will be charged. Students are responsible for dropping their courses using the My Coyote Self-Service and should not assume their courses were administratively dropped. The Fee Payment Due Date is based on the date of your registration. You must consult with the Registration Office if you are dropping to ZERO units.
To register during late registration period, registration fees (including a $25 Late Registration Fee) MUST BE PREPAID. Payments by credit card can be made through the MY COYOTE SELF SERVICE Portal "SB Make Payments" . For more information see the methods of payment information.
Parking permits are available for purchase online through the Parking Services website. Parking permit refund requests will be processed by Parking Services in (TO-209). The refund request form will also be available for pick up and drop off at University Hall Bursar Office, Room 171-Lobby.
Check with Parking Services regarding important Refund Schedule and Deadline information. This information is available on the parking website or by calling (909) 537-5912.
A $25 service fee will be charged for a first offense dishonored check/credit card; all subsequent dishonored checks/credit cards will result in a $35 service fee per offense. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure adequate funds are available to cover checks written to the university and it is the bank’s responsibility to notify students of their NSF checks. Therefore, without written notification to the student, the university will automatically apply dishonored check fee to the student’s account.
The Installment Payment Plan (IPP) allows students to defer payment of 50% of their State University Fee for a charge of $22. The last day to apply for this plan is the last business day before classes begin.
Should a student or former student fail to pay a fee of a debt owed to the institution, the institution may “withhold permission to register, to use facilities for which a fee is authorized to be charged, to receive services, materials, food or merchandise or any combination of the above from any person owing debt” until the debt is paid (see Title 5, California Code of Regulations, Sections 42380 and 42381).
Prospective students who register for courses offered by the university are obligated for the payment of fees associated with registration for those courses. Failure to cancel registration in any course for an academic term prior to the first day of the academic term gives rise to an obligation to pay student fees including any tuition for the reservation of space in the course.
The institution may withhold permission to register or to receive official transcripts of grades or other services offered by the institution from anyone owing fees or another debt to the institution. If a person believes he or she does not owe all or part of an asserted unpaid obligation that person should contact the Director of Accounting. The Director of Accounting will review all pertinent information, provided by the person and other campus offices and advise the person of its conclusions.
Check the Refund Schedule below to determine whether you are eligible for a refund and how it will be calculated. If you are receiving financial aid and withdraw from all your classes or reduce your number of units to six or fewer, some or all of the fee refund may be returned to financial aid accounts and not directly to you. For instructions on dropping and withdrawing from classes, see the Office of Records, Registration and Evaluations.
For complete refund information including deadlines and policy information, visit the Student Accounts Office refund page or contact Student Accounts Office (SH-119) at (909) 537-7426.
