
On behalf of the Payroll Department, I would like to thank our entire campus community for your support and patience while we were tasked with the manual processing of our campus furloughs. We really do appreciate it!
As you are aware, there have been some changes to the time-keeping for the pay periods of August and September, while our campus is still working its Summer 4/40 work schedules. These minor changes are due to the furloughs that were implemented for August and September.
A new "customized" CSUSB time sheet has been created to accommodate the required furlough days taken during FY 09/10. Following is the link to the Furlough Time Sheet in Excel (XLS) format.
Here are the August 2009 and September 2009 pay period sample time sheets that include the campus furlough days taken, for non-exempt employees who work full-time, according to the Summer 4/40 work schedule. Please note the following changes to the time sheet:
Non-exempt employees working “alternate work schedules”, other than the Summer 4/40 Work Schedule, are required to submit their schedules, exactly as worked, on their time sheets (Line 7A).
Excess/Deficit Hours, worked by employees with a ‘less than full-time’ time base, are calculated on a pro rata basis.
Alternate/Compressed Work Schedules:
To equitably administer the furlough program, campuses are strongly encouraged to revert 9/80 and 3/12 work schedules to 5/40 or 4/10 work schedules during the period of the furlough implementation requirement (FY 09/10), to ensure that furlough days taken each pay period do not exceed the maximum days/hours prescribed.
